Community Health Network is seeking a School Registered Nurse Ambulatory to provide health services for students within the schools. The role includes caring for students with chronic conditions, health education, medication management, emotional support and referrals to higher levels of care as needed.
PRN staff must be available for at least three shifts per month from August through May and may float across the Central region's districts and charter schools to maintain competency and service

Provides health services to facilitate optimal physical, mental, emotional and social growth and development for students within the schools. Cares for students with chronic health issues and helps identify health needs during the course of the school day. Provides health education, medication management, emotional support and referral to higher levels of care based on student needs. Supports the education process by working to assure the health of the students. Promotes healthy habits and overall health to strengthen maximum learning. PRN staff must be available to work a minimum of three shifts per month between August-May, in order to maintain competency as a school nurse. PRN staff must also float to all of the school districts & charter schools within the assigned Central region which includes Warren Township School District, Beech Grove School District, and Charter Schools.
