Community Health Network seeks a School Registered Nurse Ambulatory (RN) for the North Region. You will provide health services to students, manage medications, and support their physical, emotional, and social development within the school day.

You will care for students with chronic conditions, offer health education and refer as needed, while promoting healthy habits to strengthen learning. PRN availability requires at least three shifts monthly August through May and region-wide coverage.

Formación

• NLN/CCNE/ACEN accredited nursing program completion or 3+ years nursing experience.
• Licensed RN in Indiana (NLC) in good standing.
• At least 2 years of nursing experience, including pediatrics.
• Strong teamwork, compassion, accountability and self-direction.

Make a Difference

The School Registered Nurse Ambulatory provides health services to facilitate optimal physical, mental, emotional and social growth and development for students within the schools. Cares for students with chronic health issues and helps identify health needs during the course of the school day. Provides health education, medication management, emotional support and referral to higher levels of care based on student needs. Supports the education process by working to assure the health of the students. Promotes healthy habits and overall health to strengthen maximum learning. PRN staff must be available to work a minimum of three shifts per month between August-May, in order to maintain competency as a school nurse. PRN staff must also float to all of the school districts within the assigned North region which includes Hamilton southeastern (HSE) School District, Noblesville Schools, and Lawrence Township School District.

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications

• Graduate of National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA) accredited school of nursing, or three years of related professional nursing experience.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Indiana as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• Two years or more of nursing experience required.
• Two years of experience working with pediatric patients required.
• Excellent team skills.
