Wake County Public School System is seeking a Receptionist to support front-d desk duties at a K-8 to central office setting. The role involves greeting visitors, answering phones, handling mail, preparing documents, and maintaining records.

Performs general office duties to support the activities of a school or office including receiving telephone calls and greeting visitors, processing incoming and outgoing mail, assisting other staff, responding to requests for information, maintaining and updating records, and preparing documents.
Must be able to use a variety of office equipment such as computers, scanners, and copiers. Must be able to communicate effectively. At times requires the ability to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects up to ten pounds. Due to the amount of time spent standing and/or walking, physical requirements are consistent with those for sedentary work.
Must be able to work in a school or office environment and come into direct contact with school system staff, students, parents, external agencies, vendors, and the community.
