Job summary

Calvert County Public Schools invites applications for a School Psychology Internship for the 2027-2028 year. The internship is 10 months, full-time, with a total of 1200 hours and a salary of $25,000.

Start date is effective for the 2027-2028 school year, with placement at sites assigned by the Director of Student Services. Responsibilities include counseling, psychological assessments, FBA, data reporting, and collaboration with school staff.

Qualifications

• Must have completed practicum in schools.
• Must have completed majority of course work.
• Must be enrolled in a 60-credit hour Master’s Program in School Psychology.

Responsibilities

• Participates as a member of the Student Services Team, Behavioral Threat Assessment Team, and the County Crisis Team.
• Provides individual and/or group counseling.
• Serves as a resource person for staff, students and families regarding psychological assessments, FBA, and related reporting.
• Administers, scores and interprets various tests and rating scales.
• Provides direct intervention to students in crisis.
• Assists with the development of BIP and IEP goals and objectives.
• Develops interventions for both regular and special education students.
• Participates in PBIS meetings.
• Participates in weekly face-to-face supervision meetings.
