Broken Hill High School is seeking a qualified school psychologist to provide counselling and psychological assessment for students, supporting teachers to enhance learning and wellbeing outcomes. The role spans primary and high school ages, with supervision and professional development from senior staff within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

Based at Broken Hill High School, you will contribute to student health, resilience and achievement and engage with families and external services

Qualifications

• General or Provisional Psychology Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
• Valid and current Working with Children Check clearance – WWCC must be NSW.
• Current and valid driver’s licence and ability to travel between work sites.
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency.

Responsabilités

• Provides counselling and psychological services to students individually and in groups.
• Engages with and implements the Professional Practice Framework for the NSW School Counselling Service.
• Collaborates with the principal, staff and external agencies to improve learning and wellbeing outcomes.
• Contributes to the social, emotional and academic development of students.
• Administers cognitive, social, emotional and behavioural assessments and reports results.
