The role involves conducting evaluations, writing reports, participating in eligibility and MTSS teams, delivering mental health counseling, and leading suicide prevention programs; it also supports PBIS and collaborative planning with staff.

Qualifications

• Education: Specialist or Doctoral Degree in School Psychology or related discipline.
• Experience: Experience with reliability, organization, attention to detail and sound judgment.
• Licenses: Virginia Pupil Personnel License with endorsement in School Psychology or eligible.

Responsabilités

• Conducts psychological evaluations to assess cognitive, social/emotional, and educational needs.
• Writes comprehensive psychological reports and discusses results with parents.
• Attends eligibility meetings to determine disability and needs for services.
• Participates on multi-disciplinary teams to support school-based interventions.
• Provides mental health counseling to students.
• Leads suicide prevention programs and supports SEL initiatives.
• Assists in threat assessments and crisis intervention.
• Consults with administration, staff, parents, and students on individual needs.
• Provides MTSS/PBIS coaching and staff trainings.
