Job summary

Loudoun County Public Schools seeks a Psychology Intern (EOY) in Ashburn, VA for the 2027-2028 school year. The intern provides psychological services under direct supervision within the Office of Diagnostic and Prevention Services.

Responsibilities include conducting evaluations, participating in child study and eligibility meetings, supporting PBIS and RTI initiatives, and delivering counseling and crisis intervention as part of a school-based clinical team.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a specialist degree in school psychology or a related discipline and eligible for internship via the graduate program.
• Strong oral and written communication abilities and productive time management skills.
• Demonstrates leadership qualities and professional suitability to work with students, parents, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Conducts psychological evaluations and writes comprehensive reports with discussions for parents.
• Participates in child study team and eligibility meetings to determine disability needs and services.
• Collaborates with school administration, staff, and parents regarding behavioral and academic needs using FBA.
• Assists in implementing PBIS and RTI supports within schools.
