• Assesses students’ strengths and weaknesses to determine present level and recommendations.
• Consults with teachers, parents and other personnel to develop plans for services.
• Coordinates with community agencies to determine appropriate treatments for students.
• Facilitates meetings (IEP conferences, parent meetings, in-service) for plans and information.
• Intervenes to help students modify behavior and develop interpersonal skills.
• Participates in meetings to share information and meet credential requirements.
• Prepares documentation to support evaluations and recommendations.
• Researches resources and methods for addressing students’ needs.
• Supervises interns and practicum students for professional growth.
