Job summary

Qualifications

• Doctorate or advanced degree in School Psychology
• Arizona School Psychologist Certification
• Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Strong knowledge of English language including reading, writing and oral communication with spelling/grammar proficiency
• Spanish knowledge is desired
• Energetic, decisive, ethical; strong leadership
• Strong leadership, decision-making and implementation skills
• Capable of handling multiple assignments and developing effective instructional programs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students, parents and staff

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate at-risk students and exceptional learners
• Observe and gather data for special education testing
• Administer intelligence, perceptual, motor, and personality assessments
• Summarize findings and provide recommendations for placement
• Prepare and submit reports on evaluations
• Explain test results and placement options to parents and staff
• Coordinate special education services across schools and programs
• Support IEP implementation and progress monitoring
• Provide counseling to students and parents as needed
• Ensure confidentiality and comply with policies and regulations
