Job summary

The Scottsdale Unified School District seeks a licensed Psychologist to support students with physical, mental, social or emotional difficulties through evaluation, intervention and/or consultation in the school setting.

Responsibilities include assessing student needs, coordinating with teachers, parents and community agencies, leading IEP-related meetings, documenting evaluations, and supervising interns; requires Arizona School Psychologist Certificate and a Master’s degree.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a job-related area.
• Job-related experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess students' strengths and weaknesses across multiple environments to determine present level of performance and develop recommendations.
• Consult with teachers, parents, and other personnel to provide information and develop service plans.
• Coordinate with community agencies to determine appropriate treatments.
• Facilitate meetings (IEP conferences, parent meetings) to develop plans and inform on goals.
• Intervene to modify inappropriate behavior and develop interpersonal skills.
• Participate in meetings to report information and meet credential requirements.
• Prepare documentation (evaluations, observations, progress, contacts) to support decisions.
• Research resources and methods for addressing students’ needs.
• Supervise interns, practicum students and others.
• Other duties as assigned
