Job summary

The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit is seeking School Psychologists to work within the Office of Student Services - Mental Health Services. These itinerant positions support K-12 and Non-Pub programs in Montgomery County.

Candidates must hold PA certification in School Psychology and a Master's degree; Doctorate is preferred. Clearances (police, child abuse, FBI) are required, with PA/federal provider clearance obtained upon hire.

Qualifications

• PA certification in School Psychology is required.
• Master's degree required; Doctorate preferred (NASP-approved programs preferred).
• Current police, child abuse and FBI fingerprint clearances required.
• Clearance as an MA provider by the Commonwealth of PA and federal government obtained upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Complete school-age evaluations for public and non-public schools.
• Consult with teachers to educate them on disabilities and provide strategies for the classroom.
• Provide trainings for school personnel throughout Montgomery County.

Education

PA School Psychology certification

Job description

Multiple vacancies exist for School Psychologists to work within theOffice of Student Services - Mental Health Services at theMontgomery County Intermediate Unit. These positions will primarily support the MCIU's School Age K-12 classrooms and Non Pub schools and programs.

• Master's degree required; Doctorate preferred. (NASP-approved programs preferred)
• Current police, child abuse and FBI Fingerprint clearances required.
• Clearance as an MA provider by the Commonwealth of PA and federal government (conducted by MCIU upon hire).

Duties & Responsibilities

• Completion of school-age evaluations for both public school and non-public schools.
• Consult with teachers to educate them on various disabilities and provide strategies on how to work with them in the classroom.
• Provide trainings for school personnel throughout Montgomery County.

Location

The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit is located in Norristown, PA and provide services to students in School Age K-12 and Non-Pub classrooms located throughout Montgomery County, PA. Work Schedule

Monday - Friday, 7.5 hours/day, 10 months (194 days/year)

2025-2026Salary

Master's, Step 1: $65,007/year
Master's+30, Step 1: $71,995/year
Master's+60, Step 1:$74,853/year
*Placement on salary schedule based on experience and/or education beyond the Master's Degree.
