Job summary

The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit seeks a School Psychologist with PA certification to conduct school-age evaluations across public and non-public settings, collaborating with teachers and providing classroom strategies for diverse disabilities.

The position is itinerant with travel across Montgomery County, subject to a 194-day school-year, 7.5-hour days and a competitive salary schedule based on education and experience (Master’s level from $65,007 to $74,853).]

Qualifications

• Valid PA certification in School Psychology required.
• Clearances: police, child abuse and FBI Fingerprint clearances required.
• MA provider clearance by Commonwealth of PA and federal government (conducted by MCIU upon hire).
• NASP-approved programs preferred (when applicable).

Responsibilities

• Completion of school-age evaluations for both public school and non-public schools.
• Consult with teachers to educate them on various disabilities and provide strategies on how to work with them in the classroom.
• Provide trainings for school personnel throughout Montgomery County.

Location

The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit is located in Norristown, PA and provide services to students in School Age K-12 and Non-Pub classrooms located throughout Montgomery County, PA. These positions are itinerant and require travel.

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday, 7.5 hours/day, 10 months (194 days/year)

2025-2026 Salary

Master's, Step 1: $65,007/year

Master's+30, Step 1: $71,995/year

Master's+60, Step 1: $74,853/year

• Placement on salary schedule based on experience and/or education beyond the Master's Degree.
