Job summary

Wake Preparatory Academy is accepting applications for a School Psychologist for the 2026-2027 academic year. Candidates must be willing to undergo a background check.

Responsibilities include conducting screenings and assessments, designing remedial programs, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure appropriate services and compliance with IDEA and Child Find. Travel between campuses may be required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree and NC School Psychologist certificate are required.
• Background check clearance is required.
• Preferred 3+ years of experience as a School Psychologist.

Responsibilities

• Provide a range of school psychological services to children, including screening and assessment.
• Design remedial educational programs.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to determine eligibility for services and appropriate programming.
• Ensure compliance with IDEA and Child Find in identification and placement of students.
• Consult with educators to support academic achievement and social development.
• Administer, score, and interpret clinical assessments.
• Travel between campuses may be required.
• Other duties as assigned.
