Job summary

SPG Therapy & Education is seeking a School Psychologist to join a clinician-led pediatric team in California. The role emphasizes mentorship, collaboration, and ongoing professional growth within a mission-driven environment.

You will conduct psychoeducational assessments, prepare legally defensible reports, determine eligibility for special education services, participate in IEP meetings, and provide student counseling, with opportunities for supervision and multidisciplinary collaboration

Qualifications

• Valid California PPS Credential in School Psychology is required.
• Ability to work in person in a California school setting.
• Proficiency in connecting with students and families and collaborating with school teams.
• Eagerness to learn, grow, and develop professional expertise.
• Fingerprint clearance and TB clearance are required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychoeducational assessments for referred students per state guidelines.
• Prepare comprehensive, legally defensible written reports with diagnoses and recommendations.
• Certify pupils’ eligibility for placement in special education services.
• Participate in IEP meetings following due process timelines.
• Provide counseling services to students as needed.
• Provide consultative support to administrators, parents, students and SPG staff on special education procedures and mental health issues.
