Job summary

Splendora Independent School District is seeking a School Psychologist Intern to perform professional psychology work in assessment, behavior management, and counseling for students with emotional and learning disabilities. Qualifications

• Enrolled in School Psychology/School Specialist Master’s degree program or degree conferred.
• One year of experience providing psychology services in an educational setting or externship/practicum.

Responsibilities

• Assess intellectual, emotional, and behavioral functioning and determine eligibility for special education services.
• Develop psychological evaluation reports and behavior management plans.
• Participate in ARD Committee to develop appropriate placement and IEPs.
• May serve as case manager and implement the special education assessment process.
• Meet with parents to discuss test results and provide counseling; consult with teachers on behavior plans.
• Present staff development training to school personnel.
