Job summary

The Wayne County Schools Employment Network is seeking a qualified School Psychologist Director to oversee evaluation, assessment and program planning for students eligible for special education services at The Dearborn Academy. You will lead MET/IEP processes, supervise data-driven decision making and ensure compliance with state and federal laws.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in school psychology required.
• Certification as a School Psychologist or eligibility for Preliminary Certificate.
• Knowledge of state and federal special education laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychological evaluation for pupils referred for special education.
• Administer culturally appropriate tests including intelligence, achievement and behavior.
• Perform direct observations in collaboration with Social Worker and prepare reports.
• Interpret diagnostic data for MET/IEP meetings and program planning.
• Coordinate IEP setup, invitations, and monitoring annual IEP dates.
• Oversee RtI processes and crisis intervention planning with staff.
