Job summary

Los Alamos Public Schools seeks a School Psychologist to provide psychological evaluations and related services to identified students under IEPs. The role includes scheduling evaluations, consultation, and supporting caseload needs within Student Services.

You will attend IEP team meetings, collaborate with staff and families, prepare progress reports, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. This 1.0 FTE position runs Aug 3, 2026 to May 28, 2027.

Qualifications

• License to practice as a School Psychologist in NM.
• Ability to collaborate with school staff and families.
• Knowledge of IEPs and related services.
• Ability to manage multiple evaluations and timelines.
• Excellent written reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological screenings and evaluations.
• Prepare reports within two weeks of assessment.
• Provide behavioral consultation to staff and SAT.
• Review student records.
• Attend district team meetings.
• Meet with parents and staff.
• Prepare and implement IEP social-behavior goals.
• Maintain log of services.
• Deliver inservices as needed.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and district policies.
