Job summary

ICEF Public Schools in Los Angeles, CA seeks a School Psychologist to oversee psychological assessments across academic, cognitive, social-emotional, and behavioral domains. This on-site role supports IEPs and problem-solving meetings, designing systems and services to maximize student outcomes.

The position requires collaboration with families, students, staff, and communities to promote effective educational environments, with regular participation in evaluations and school-based program

Qualifications

• Earned Master’s Degree in psychology or related field from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Pupil Personnel Services Credential in Psychology.
• At least two-years of related experience in a school setting.
• Knowledge in special education law, behavioral mental health, and learning disabilities.
• TB clearance and background check clearance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological assessments and interpret results for students and participate in IEP conferences, team meetings, and problem-solving meetings.
• Lead crisis intervention efforts and develop functional assessments and behavior intervention plans.
• Provide counseling services per IEP requirements and support staff in designing interventions and accommodations for students.
• Monitor completion of evaluations and participate in IEP conferences and problem-solving meetings.
• Contribute to program development that integrates social, coping, and problem-solving skills in the classroom.
• Provide support services to parents/guardians and coordinate with agencies to promote comprehensive services.

Education
