Job summary

TX-STAR Speech Language Services in San Antonio, TX, seeks a School Psychologist for school-based assignments. You will conduct evaluations, provide consultation and counseling, and collaborate with teachers, families, and a multidisciplinary team to support student outcomes.

Responsibilities include ARD/IEP participation, data-informed decision making, and developing interventions and behavior plans. This role offers flexible placement and opportunities to support students across grade levels.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in School Psychology or closely related field.
• Current Texas license or credential authorizing practice as a School Psychologist.
• Experience administering, scoring, and interpreting cognitive, academic, behavioral, and social-emotional assessments.
• Strong understanding of special education regulations, evaluation procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide evaluation, consultation, intervention, and collaborative support within a school-based environment.
• Complete comprehensive psychological and educational evaluations.
• Administer and interpret cognitive, academic, behavioral, and social-emotional assessments.
• Contribute to development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Provide counseling and evidence-based behavioral strategies; collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in ARD/IEP meetings and communicate findings clearly.
• Maintain records meeting district and compliance standards.
