Job summary

HeartShare Wellness LTD in New York seeks a School Psychologist to support the cognitive, social-emotional, and behavioral development of students with disabilities. You will conduct comprehensive assessments, provide counseling, and collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to create an inclusive learning environment.

The role requires NYS certification and a Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology, with experience in IEP/ CSE processes, FBA/BIP, and evidence-based

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology required.
• New York State certification as a School Psychologist required.
• Experience working with school aged children, particularly those with developmental delays or disabilities.
• Knowledge of NYSED Part 200 Regulations and CSE processes.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and analyze assessment results and determine eligibility for special education services.
• Provide counseling and develop evidence-based interventions for social-emotional and behavioral needs.
• Create and implement Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP).
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and administrators to ensure students receive appropriate support.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and CSE meetings to advocate for services.
• Provide staff training on best practices in behavior management and early childhood mental health.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure NYSED compliance.
