Job summary

Bond Health is seeking a qualified School Psychologist for a full-time school-based position in New York. You will conduct evaluations, provide counseling, support behavioral plans, and collaborate with teachers and families to promote student success.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s Degree in Psychology, NYSED School Psychologist Certification, and bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Mandarin; minimum one year of relevant experience with developmental disabilities is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Psychology is required.
  • Current NYSED School Psychologist Certification is required.
  • Bilingual in Spanish or Mandarin.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Knowledge of standard psychometric tools (Wechsler series, Stanford-Binet).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Sound professional judgment and ability to respond to unusual situations.
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of appropriate software.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychological assessments, including evaluations of intelligence and adaptive behavior.
  • Administer, score, analyze, and interpret diagnostic tests in cognitive and emotional areas.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and goals based on assessments.
  • Provide psychological counseling, behavioral management, crisis intervention, and other services.
  • Complete Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) as needed.
  • Provide parent training and counseling and conduct outreach to families.
  • Conduct play therapy with children when appropriate.
  • Monitor treatment plans, therapy progress, and make recommendations as needs change.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, annual reviews, case conferences, and pre-admission evaluations.
  • Consult with families and staff to integrate therapeutic interventions into the school and home environment.
  • Train program staff on treatment goals, behavior-management techniques, and interpretation of assessment results.
  • Assist with classroom management and other student-support needs as required.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation, records, equipment, and supplies.
