Job summary

Family of Kidz is seeking a qualified School Psychologist to perform psychoeducational evaluations and provide therapy and consultation under IEP/BIP/504 plans. The role emphasizes collaboration with students, families and educational staff to support learning and development.

The candidate should hold NYS certification (provisional or permanent) or a licensed psychologist credential and possess a Master’s in School Psychology, with at least one year of relevant experience working with children

Qualifications

• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Empathy and consideration for others are essential.
• Candidate should be able to work with children, families, and therapists.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Psychoeducational evaluations; ADOS-2 experience or training is a plus.
• Provide counseling/parent training/direct therapy services per student IEP/BIP/504 plans.
• Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments and design behavior intervention plans and support programs.
• Provide parents, teachers and families consultations to enhance learning and development.
• Maintain positive communication between school staff, supervisors and families.
• Participate in IEP Conferences, annual reviews and other meetings as needed.
