Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Psychology or related field.
• Valid Arizona School Psychologists Certificate.
• Experience with ethnically diverse urban population.

Responsibilities

• Completes psycho-educational evaluations and multi-disciplinary assessments within district timelines.
• Participates in multidisciplinary conferences and leads student conferences as needed.
• Provides short-term counseling to students and facilitates referrals to appropriate agencies.
• Participates in crisis intervention services and leads when necessary.
• Interprets assessment data for parents and district staff and supports recommendations.
• Provides technical assistance to staff on classroom modifications and behavior management.
• Serves as a consultant to parents on child development and related areas.
• Develops and submits monthly and annual reports as requested by the Director of Exceptional Student Services.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Exceptional Services.
• Complies with state statutes, board policies, and procedures.
• Conducts themselves professionally towards staff and parents.
• Maintains a professional demeanor and adheres to school day schedules.
• Pursues professional growth opportunities and participates in staff development.
• Maintains responsible attendance patterns.
