Job summary

The East Baton Rouge Parish School System is seeking a licensed School Psychologist to provide assessment, counseling, and behavior management services for students with emotional and learning disabilities.

Responsibilities include administering assessments, developing evaluation reports, participating in ARD/IEP meetings, case management, collaborating with families and staff, and delivering trainings. A Master’s in psychology and Louisiana licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in psychology from an accredited college or university.
• One year experience providing psychology services in an educational setting.
• A Valid Louisiana license as a Certified School Psychologist by the State Department of Education.

Responsibilities

• Select and administer assessments to evaluate intellectual, emotional, and behavioral functioning.
• Develop psychological evaluation reports and behavior management plans.
• Participate in ARD Committee for appropriate placement and IEP development.
• May serve as case manager for students on assigned campuses.
• Meet with parents to discuss results and provide counseling.
• Consult with teachers and staff on educational needs and behavior plans.
• Present staff development training in assigned schools.
• Coordinate ongoing evaluation of psychological services and procedures.
• Compile and file reports, records, and test inventories; select materials.
• Comply with district policies and regulations; supervise interns if needed.
