Job summary

Onward Education is seeking a full-time, in-person School Psychologist to support a Lake County, Illinois school for the 2026/2027 year. The role requires an Illinois PEL with School Psychologist endorsement and involves conducting psychological and educational assessments, counseling, and collaboration with school teams.

You will work with educators, administrators, and families to inform supports, develop interventions, and contribute to crisis prevention efforts.

Qualifications

• Illinois PEL with School Psychologist endorsement required.
• Experience conducting psychological and educational assessments.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for IEPs and 504 Plans.
• Provide counseling and intervention support for social-emotional and behavioral needs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological/educational assessments to identify strengths, needs, and eligibility for services.
• Use assessment results to inform interventions and student support planning.
• Provide individual and/or group counseling to address student social-emotional and behavioral needs.
• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support classroom strategies and behavior plans.
• Support school-wide prevention and crisis response efforts as needed.
