Job summary

Onward Education in Cook County, IL is seeking a School Psychologist for an in-person role supporting elementary students through a key transition period.

You will lead screenings, case studies, and MTSS collaboration, addressing open domains and coordinating with families and staff to promote student success.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology required.
• Illinois State Certification as a School Psychologist with a Professional Educator License (PEL).
• Experience with Play-Based Assessment and working with young children.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage effectively with students, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead weekly child find team meetings reviewing new student screening information.
• Conduct all screenings and case studies for students transitioning from early intervention.
• Participate in MTSS and address new open domains for students referred through screening into classrooms.
• Complete approximately 10-15 full case studies and screen 40-50 students during the assignment.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student transitions and success.
• Maintain accurate records and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
