ISO Workforce Alliance is partnering with a prominent Chicago, IL charter school to hire a School Psychologist for the 2026–2027 school year. The role emphasizes psychoeducational evaluations, IEP collaboration, and MTSS/RTI support to promote student achievement and well-being.

The ideal candidate holds a School Psychologist endorsement with an Illinois PEL and brings experience in a K–12 setting, ready to work with families and multidisciplinary teams to ensure appropriate supports.

Qualifications

  • Master's, Specialist (Ed.S.), or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement.
  • Experience in a K–12 school setting preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of IDEA, special education procedures, and Illinois regulations.
  • Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for students referred for special education services.
  • Interpret assessment results and prepare clear, legally compliant evaluation reports.
  • Participate as an active member of IEP and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Consult with teachers, administrators, and families regarding student learning, behavior, and intervention strategies.
  • Support the implementation of MTSS/RTI and other evidence-based intervention models.
  • Provide behavioral and social-emotional recommendations to improve student outcomes.
  • Assist with crisis intervention and student support planning as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation while ensuring compliance with IDEA, Section 504, and Illinois State Board of Education requirements.
  • Collaborate with related service providers and school leadership to promote positive educational outcomes.
