Job summary

Onward Education is seeking a full-time, in-person School Psychologist to support a Will County, Illinois school for the 2026–2027 school year.

The role involves conducting evaluations, providing counseling, and collaborating with staff and families to implement effective behavioral interventions and supports for student mental health and learning.

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois state license as a School Psychologist or eligibility for licensure.
• Experience conducting psychological and educational assessments.
• Ability to develop and implement intervention plans tailored to student needs.
• Strong collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed approaches, positive behavior supports, and SEL frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations to identify student needs, strengths, and eligibility for special education services.
• Implement assessments across cognitive, behavioral, social-emotional, and academic domains to guide interventions.
• Provide individual and group counseling to support student mental health and behavior needs.
• Collaborate with staff and families to develop effective behavioral interventions and classroom strategies.
• Support crisis response and trauma-informed support to students and staff.
