Job summary

Onward Education in Will County, Illinois, seeks a School Psychologist for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a full-time, on-site position at 37.5 hours/week starting ASAP with an end date of 05/21/2027.

Join a collaborative team to conduct assessments, design interventions, provide counseling, and support trauma-informed practices to improve student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois state license as a School Psychologist (or eligibility for licensure / IL School Psych + PEL).
• Experience conducting psychological and educational assessments.
• Ability to develop and implement intervention plans tailored to student needs.
• Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed approaches, PBIS, and SEL frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations to identify student needs, strengths, and eligibility for special education services.
• Implement assessments across cognitive, behavioral, social-emotional, and academic domains to guide interventions.
• Provide individual and group counseling to support student mental health and behavior needs.
• Collaborate with staff and families to develop effective behavioral interventions and classroom strategies.
• Support crisis response efforts and provide trauma-informed support to students and staff.
