Job summary

Ampersand Therapy is hiring a School Psychologist for the remainder of the 2026-2027 school year in Portsmouth, VA. This in-person role supports the Portsmouth Public Schools with flexible days and hours.

You will provide school psychology services, conduct assessments, write evaluation reports, and participate in IEP meetings to support student progress and achievement.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in School Psychology.
• Active Virginia School Psychology License or willingness to obtain.
• Experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide school psychology services in the school setting.
• Conduct assessments and write comprehensive evaluation reports.
• Develop and implement IEP goals and therapy plans.
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with school teams.
• Partner with teachers and families to support carryover of skills.
• Maintain timely documentation, progress notes, and compliance records.
• Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
