Job summary

Onward Education is seeking a compassionate School Psychologist to support students during the 2026–2027 school year. You will help students achieve academic, social, emotional, and behavioral success by providing comprehensive psychological services, collaborating with educators and families, and fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities include conducting psychoeducational evaluations, counseling students, developing interventions, and serving on IEP/504 teams

Qualifications

  • Master's, Specialist (Ed.S.), or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
  • Active state School Psychologist licensure or certification.
  • Experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations and writing comprehensive reports.
  • Knowledge of special education laws, IEP processes, and evidence-based assessment and intervention practices.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and school staff.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and psychological assessments to determine students' strengths, needs, and eligibility for special education services.
  • Administer and interpret cognitive, academic, behavioral, and social-emotional assessments to guide intervention planning.
  • Provide individual and group counseling to support students with social, emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs.
  • Develop and implement intervention plans that promote emotional regulation, positive behavior, and academic success.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers to support student achievement.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including IEP and 504 Plan meetings, and provide recommendations for appropriate supports and services.
  • Consult with school staff on classroom strategies, behavior management, and evidence-based interventions.
  • Support school-wide initiatives focused on social-emotional learning (SEL), bullying prevention, restorative practices, and trauma-informed care.
  • Respond to school crises by providing consultation, crisis intervention, and support for students and staff.
  • Monitor student progress, analyze data, and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions to inform decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with federal, state, and district regulations.
