Job summary

Orange County Public Schools is seeking a paraprofessional staff member to provide in‑school program support, assist teachers and students, and help maintain records and reports. The role involves monitoring student behavior, delivering instruction support, and coordinating with parents and staff as part of the assigned program.

You will work under supervision to implement curriculum, support health and vocational activities, and ensure proper use of equipment and materials.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher; or at least sixty (60) semester hours from an accredited institution with three years of related experience.
• Experience in administrative support, record-keeping, and effective communication with staff and parents.

Responsibilities

• Provides paraprofessional support in assigned school program areas (e.g., in-school suspension, bilingual education, health screening, job placement, vocational training).
• Maintains attendance and student records, prints/distributes reports, files documents and answers inquiries.
• Monitors student behavior and assists teachers with curriculum implementation and classroom activities.
• Communicates with parents and staff; supports recruitment and program coordination where applicable.
• Ensures proper use and storage of equipment and materials; stays current with applicable technology.
