Job summary

The Gardner School of Franklin seeks a School Program Coordinator to lead daily operations, ensure compliance with state regulations, and support staff and families. You will manage reports, safety, and parent communications in a caring, developmentally appropriate environment.

Responsibilities include opening/closing in directors' absence, assisting with inquiries and tours, and providing classroom support during peak times, while maintaining confidentiality and professional relationships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a licensed child development program, with at least 1 year as a teacher or supervising a childcare program.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the School in conformance with state/local regulations and The Gardner School policies.
  • Open and close the school in the absence of the Executive School Director and Assistant School Director.
  • Prepare and forward reports in accordance with The Gardner School policies and procedures.
  • Assist in tracking inquiries and convert inquiries into parent tours of the school.
  • Maintain professional and positive relationships and communication with parents and staff.
  • Maintain confidentiality of school directives, curriculum, and software.
  • Provide additional classroom support during high volume times.
  • Lead and teach children through all activities of the day, ensuring a well‑rounded educational experience in the absence of teaching staff.
  • Ensure classroom and playground equipment is maintained in good repair and safety rules are enforced.
  • Notify parents via telephone if child injury occurs and obtain signatures on accident/incident reports.
  • Dispense medication to children with a medication authorization form.
  • Stay fully apprised of all school activities and represent the best interests of the children and school.
  • Other duties as assigned.
