Job summary

The Washoe County School District is seeking a School Police Dispatcher to handle emergency and non-emergency calls, dispatch units, and operate CAD and radio systems. You will maintain secure data, monitor multiple channels, and support law enforcement operations across 260 district days per year.

Candidates should have at least two years of public safety dispatch experience, be able to handle high-stress situations, and obtain NCIC/CJIS certification within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Requires experience as a public safety dispatcher handling 911 calls and coordinating responses.
• Equivalent to a high school diploma or higher.
• Able to obtain NCIC/CJIS certification within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Answers and screens incoming emergency and non-emergency calls.
• Dispatches assignments and coordinates responses using established procedures.
• Monitors and documents unit movements in CAD and maintains radio communications.
