Job summary

Barnstable Public Schools is seeking a Physical Therapist for a long-term substitute role (approximately 8 weeks) within the Special Education program. The incumbent will provide direct and indirect physical therapy services to PK/Elementary students, collaborate with school teams, and help implement IEP goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Massachusetts Board of Registry Licensure as a Physical Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Implement PT plans within school settings across multiple buildings.
• Conduct initial, annual, and three-year re-evaluations as needed.
• Consult with district teams and parents to support educational PT services.
• Advise on environmental accommodations and equipment for gross motor goals.
• Prepare and adapt therapeutic materials and spaces for student use.
