Job summary

RCM Healthcare Services is seeking a School Paraprofessional to provide one-to-one behavioral and academic support to students with IEPs in Newark, DE.

The role is suitable for RBTs and Behavior Interventionists with ABA experience under an LBA, with responsibilities including data collection, collaboration with educators, and applying ABA strategies to improve student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or 60 college credits completed.
• Passing score on the Paraprofessional Exam.
• Active RBT certification through BACB for RBT candidates.
• TB Test completed within the last five years.
• Ability to pass criminal background check and Child Protection Registry clearance.

Responsibilities

• Implement student IEPs and BIPs using ABA strategies with fidelity.
• Provide one-to-one academic and behavioral support to students.
• Assist teachers and collaborate with educational and behavioral teams to support routines.
• Accurately collect, graph, and maintain student behavioral data.
• Utilize de-escalation strategies and physical management techniques when necessary for safety.
• Attend supervision sessions to maintain BACB compliance.
• Support students in achieving behavioral, social, and educational goals.
• Participate in trainings and meetings.

Responsibilities

Schedule / Shift

• Shift details: School-day schedule, Monday–Friday
• Hours per week: Full time
• Contract length: School year assignment

Key Duties

• Implement student IEPs and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) using ABA strategies with fidelity
• Provide one-to-one academic and behavioral support services to students
• Assist teachers and collaborate with educational and behavioral teams to support classroom and school routines
• Accurately collect, graph, and maintain student behavioral data
• Utilize QBS Safety Care de-escalation strategies and physical management techniques when necessary for safety
• Attend and participate in required supervision sessions to maintain compliance with BACB standards
• Support students in achieving behavioral, social, and educational goals
• Participate in trainings, meetings, and additional duties as assigned

Requirements

Education

• Required: Associate’s degree or completion of 60 college credits
• Required: Passing score on the Paraprofessional Exam

Licenses & Certifications

• Required: Active RBT certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) for RBT candidates
• Required: TB Test completed within the last five years
• Required: Ability to pass criminal background check and Child Protection Registry clearance
