Job summary

Summit Hill School District 161 is seeking a Paraprofessional to support instructional activities at Indian Trail School for the 2026-2027 school year. You will work under the supervision of a classroom teacher to assist in delivering targeted student support and classroom tasks.

Required ISBE Paraprofessional Licensure, a full school-year commitment, and compensation of $19.81 per hour with benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• ISBE Paraprofessional Licensure is required.
• Employed to work the 2026-2027 school year.
• Compensation: $19.81 per hour plus benefits.

Responsibilities

• Works with individual or small groups on specific skills and assignments.
• Provides frequent feedback to students as they work on assignments.
• Assists in preparation of materials, bulletin boards, etc.
• Scores and corrects papers, quizzes, and tests.
• Performs health care procedures as specified in students' IEPs.
• Assists students in group or classroom activities.
• Supervises students at arrival, dismissal, lunch and playground times.
• Assists with classroom documentation.
• Monitors students during transitions.
• Attends staff meetings, in-service and training programs.
• Attends student IEP meetings as required.
• Assists in supervision of field trips and assemblies and other programs.
• Accompanies students to mainstreamed classes as needed.
• Assists in implementing students' IEP.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
