Job summary

McHenry Community Consolidated School District 15 seeks a Paraprofessional for Parkland Middle School to support students under the supervision of the Building Principal. Certification as a Paraprofessional is required; 60 college credits or ISBE Work Keys is needed to obtain licensure.

Strong communication and teamwork are essential for a safe, collaborative school environment. Position is 175 days, full-time with benefits including health insurance, IMRF pension, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Paraprofessional License required.
• 60 college credits or Work Keys/ISBE requirement to obtain Paraprofessional License.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe environment including physical intervention as needed per protocol.
• CPI training preferred or willing to train.
• Work as a cooperating member of a team and effectively communicate with students, teachers, parents and administration; positive attitude and dependability required.
• Willingness or experience working with young children with special needs.
