Job description

Overview

Paraprofessional (Pre-Kindergarten Program) at McHenry School District 15, Edgebrook Elementary School. Reports to Building Principal. Terms of Employment: 175 Day – Full Time. Start date: August 19, 2025.

Responsibilities/Duties

• Promote a safe environment including physical intervention as needed according to protocol.
• CPI training preferred or willing to train.
• Work as a cooperating member of a team and effectively communicate with students, teachers, parents and administration; positive attitude and dependability.
• Willingness or experience working with young children with special needs.

Qualifications

• Current and Valid Paraprofessional License; 60 college credit hours or Work Keys Test/other ISBE requirement for obtaining Paraprofessional License.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.

Pay and Benefits

• $17.00/hour starting plus benefits. The District can provide additional credit to candidates who have prior work experience.
