Job summary

AHS Staffing is seeking a School Services Paraprofessional to support students at Rivertrail Learning Center in Coon Rapids, MN.

As a Setting 4 paraprofessional, you will work with Special Education Teachers to provide individualized support for students with disabilities, including behavioral and daily living needs, in a full-time, in-person assignment starting Sept 8, 2026, through June 10, 2027.

Qualifications

• Must meet Highly Qualified Paraprofessional requirements.
• Experience with children or individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Comfort working with students with significant behaviors.
• Willing to assist with toileting and personal care.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small-group support to students.
• Assist Special Education Teachers with classroom instruction and activities.
• Support students with academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and functional needs.
• Help implement individualized student plans and behavioral supports.
• Assist with classroom management and maintaining a safe learning environment.
• Assist students with toileting and personal care as needed.
• Observe and document student progress and behavior as directed.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other members of the educational team.
