Job summary

ESS is seeking a Substitute Paraprofessional to support classroom teachers and students in Newtown, PA. Responsibilities include reinforcing instruction, assisting with classroom management, and helping with materials and administrative tasks.

The role involves supervising students in cafeterias and during activities, and supporting students with special needs per IEPs/504 plans. Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED and required background checks (Act 24/34/114/151/168) plus TB

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Clearance checks required: Act 24, Act 34, Act 114, Act 151, Act 168, TB/Physical.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional reinforcement for individual students or small groups.
• Assist teacher with classroom management and supervision.
• Assist with administrative duties such as setting up equipment and materials.
• Supervise students in cafeteria, yard, halls, field trips, before/after programs.
• Attend to students' physical, personal, academic, and emotional needs.
• Support students with special needs per IEPs/504 Plans.
• Perform other duties as directed by teachers and administration.
