Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate degree preferred.
• Paraprofessional role involves assisting students with instructional and daily living activities.
• Work under direct supervision of a certified professional.

Responsibilities

• Assist with self-sufficiency training and maintenance of skills for children with physical disabilities
• Assume duties of a personal care nature to enable participation in least restrictive environment
• Encourage, support, and teach daily living activities for student comfort and well-being
• Assist students in managing their environment to meet physical and psychological needs
• Monitor health incidents and psychosocial adjustment to medical conditions
• Assist in arranging classroom environment to meet student needs
• Attend trainings and meetings as requested
• Show cooperation and flexibility with other duties per ESS and school policies
