Job summary

Port View Preparatory is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our ABA-focused educational setting. The OT will collaborate with the supervising therapist to develop and implement intervention programs and adapt materials for students with autism and developmental disabilities.

The role involves training educational team members, documenting progress, and supporting IEP goals within the school environment. Applicants must have a Master’s in OT and NBCOT/CBOT licensure.

Qualifications

• Must have a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• CBOT and NBCOT License Required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement OT intervention programs with the supervising occupational therapist.
• Plan and implement accommodations as outlined in the IEP in conjunction with the supervising occupational therapist.
• Provision of training to members of the student’s educational team for implementation and/or carryover of student programs.
• Supervision of COTA/L.
• Collaboration and communication with other members of the educational team.
• Participation in team meetings relevant to supporting the student with identified special needs within the school or community environment.
• Participation in instructional support/pre-referral activities that do not involve screening or evaluation.
• Development and use of adapted materials that enable the student's school participation.
• Documentation of student intervention notes and attendance.
• Documentation of progress reports and annual summaries in conjunction with supervising occupational therapist.
• Contribute to the collection of evaluative data in the re-evaluation process as deemed appropriate by the supervising occupational therapist.
• Communication with the IEP and school team regarding caseload and intervention programs.
• Collaboration with educational staff regarding implementation of student intervention programs.
• Participation in the routine management and maintenance of the occupational therapy facilities and materials.
• Assist in the selection and maintenance of equipment and supplies used for occupational therapy.
• Contribution to clinical, on-site, occupational therapy services and program
• Monitoring of scheduling, billing, and administrative duties as deemed appropriate by supervising occupational therapist
• Participate in professional enrichment activities to maintain a high stand of service delivery.
