Job summary

Horry County Schools is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate and provide therapy services to students with disabilities within the educational setting.

You will conduct evaluations, assist IEP teams with eligibility decisions, design or select adaptive equipment, and instruct staff and families in its use.

This role includes supervising COTAs, documenting records for Medicaid and IEP processes, and staying current with licensure and professional development.

Qualifications

• Valid SC Occupational Therapy License.

Responsibilities

• Provides occupational therapy services in an educational setting as per laws and guidelines.
• Conducts evaluations and screenings to support IEP eligibility decisions.
• Provides educationally relevant therapy to improve student performance or function.
• Supervises Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) as assigned.
• Maintains accurate records for IEP processes and Medicaid documentation.
