Job summary

• Valid SC Occupational Therapy License

Responsibilities

• Provides occupational therapy services consistent with laws and guidelines in the educational setting.
• Conducts evaluations and screenings to assess developmental skills and assist IEP teams in eligibility decisions.
• Delivers educationally relevant therapy to improve performance or function in the educational setting.
• Supports student transition from school to employment settings as designated by IEPs.
• Designs and/or constructs adaptive equipment and devices, and maintains them.
• Instructs students, teachers and parents in use and maintenance of adaptive equipment and monitors fit.
• Participates in IEP development and implementation.
• Consults with teachers and staff to address needs of the child.
• Refers students to community agencies and specialists when needed.
• Participates in staff development and provides training to staff.
• Maintains accurate records and Medicaid documentation for each student.
