Job summary

Strides Therapy & Educational Services is seeking a School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT) in Baltimore, MD, to support students in the public school system. The role focuses on fine motor, sensory processing, and functional development within a collaborative educational environment.

You will conduct assessments, implement evidence-based therapies, and participate in IEP meetings and professional development to promote student well-being and academic participation.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Maryland state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an OT.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to determine OT needs and develop treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based OT interventions to improve fine motor, sensory processing, and functional independence.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and school staff to support student participation in classroom activities.
• Monitor progress and adapt treatment plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Educate parents, teachers, and staff on strategies to enhance fine motor skills and sensory regulation.
• Maintain accurate records including session notes and progress reports.
• Participate in IEP meetings and school-based professional development.
• Ensure compliance with regulations governing occupational therapy in schools.
