Job summary

Northborough-Southborough Public Schools is seeking a Food Service Worker in Northborough, MA to support the school nutrition program. The role involves preparing meals, maintaining a clean kitchen, and serving students in a friendly, efficient manner.

You'll work Monday through Friday with no nights or weekends, 2.5 to 5.5 hours per day, with paid training and opportunities to grow within the school district.

Qualifications

• Effective communication with students, staff and management.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Comfort working in a school kitchen environment and with kids.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to students and staff.
• Serve meals and present food appealingly.
• Use Mosaic POS to process transactions and reconcile cash.
• Operate ovens, slicers, steamers, stoves and dishwashers.
• Follow safe food handling, storage and sanitation guidelines.
• Prepare food according to provided recipes and directions.
• Collaborate with cooks and other team members.
• Maintain regular and on-time attendance for student support.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Food Services Manager.
