Job summary

The Public Schools of Northborough-Southborough – Food Services is hiring a part-time Food Services Team Member in Southborough, MA. This role supports daily meal service, cash handling, and kitchen operations under supervision.

You will work 2.5 to 5.5 hours per day, provide friendly customer service to students and staff, and help with food prep and sanitation in accordance with district guidelines. Starting date is immediate, with a starting hourly wage of $19.07–$23.49.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work with students, staff and Administration.
• Manual dexterity to handle knives and other kitchen equipment such as slicers, mixers, steamers, ovens and dishwashers.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Serve and present food in a visually appealing manner.
• Use Mosaic POS system to process transactions and reconcile cash.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, slicers, steamers, stove tops, warmers and dishwashers.
• Conform to all safe food handling, storage and sanitation methods in accordance with guidelines.
• Prepare food according to recipes and directions provided by the Food Services Manager.
• Help and assist Cooks, Bakers and other team members with joint tasks when other assigned tasks are completed.
• Regular and on-time attendance is required for student support.
• Perform such other tasks and responsibilities as may be designated or assigned by the Food Services Manager.
