Job summary

Englewood Schools is seeking a Training and Relief Nutrition Services Specialist to travel across district kitchens and the Nutrition Services office. The role trains staff on food prep, safety, and POS systems, while also providing relief coverage during peak times.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, 3 years of institutional food service, and ServSafe certification within 3 months. This is a non-exempt, full-time role with 176 days per year and early morning hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum three years of institutional food service experience.
• Experience with ordering and inventory control is required.
• ServSafe certification must be completed within 3 months of hire.
• Supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide staff relief in kitchens during call-outs and absences.
• Train all new staff on SOPs, food safety, POS operations, and forecasting.
• Travel to Englewood Schools sites to support nutrition services teams.
• Ensure employees receive updated information and compliance with regulations.
• Provide timely feedback and support staff development.
