Job summary

Eugene School District 4J is seeking substitutes for nutrition services to establish an ongoing pool of candidates. Qualified applicants will be contacted by 4J Human Resources for interviews or screening as needed. Pool participants are not guaranteed employment and may be assigned to various food service areas.

Responsibilities include assembling meals, serving, stocking, cleaning, and following safety rules, with opportunities to support students and staff. Reliable attendance is expected.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic math computations and money changes.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding students and staff.
• Stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assemble meals and serve items following portion standards.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen, serving areas, and equipment.
• Stock and store food, supplies, and inventory as needed.
• Record basic daily totals and assist with POS if required.
• Assist in training substitutes and student helpers.
